Supporting Children, Teens, and Families with Care that Meets You Where You Are

Every child, teen, and adult processes challenges differently. At RegulateWell, therapy is adapted to each person’s needs—whether that means play for children, creative activities for teens, or conversation and reflection for adults.

Below, you’ll find the types of services I offer, along with what you can expect.

Child Play Therapy (ages 5–12, in person)

Children often don’t have the words to explain how they’re feeling. Play gives them the language they need.

Through toys, art, sand tray, and other creative outlets, children can explore emotions, build coping skills, and strengthen their ability to regulate. I draw from multiple play therapy methods—including Child-Centered Play Therapy, TraumaPlay, and Adlerian Play Therapy—to tailor sessions to each child’s needs.

What to Expect:

  • Weekly 45-minute sessions in the playroom

  • A focus on safety, connection, and expression through play

  • Monthly parent sessions for feedback, guidance, and skill-building

Adolescent Therapy

(ages 13–18, in person or virtual for Michigan residents)

Teens and adolescents are at a stage where they’re developing independence while still needing support. Therapy provides space to talk openly, explore identity, and process stress in ways that feel natural to them.

Sessions may include conversation, sand tray, games, or creative activities—depending on what helps each teen feel most comfortable and engaged.

What to Expect:

  • Weekly 45-minute sessions (in person or virtual)

  • Approaches adapted to your teen’s needs and preferences

  • Parent check-ins as needed to support progress at home

Adult Individual Therapy

(ages 18–55, in person or virtual for Michigan residents)

Life transitions, anxiety, ADHD, or simply feeling “stuck” can be overwhelming. Therapy offers a steady space to reflect, process, and build new strategies for coping and growth.

I work with adults using a blend of talk therapy and creative approaches, depending on what feels most effective and comfortable for each client.

What to Expect:

  • Weekly or biweekly 50-minute sessions

  • Support tailored to your goals—whether that’s managing stress, navigating change, or building healthier patterns

  • Tools and strategies you can use outside of sessions

Parent Support (integrated into child therapy)

Parent involvement is a core part of child therapy at RegulateWell. While children attend weekly sessions, parents meet with me about once a month for feedback, guidance, and support.

These meetings are a space for you to:

  • Understand what your child is working on in therapy

  • Learn new ways to respond and connect at home

  • Build confidence in supporting your child’s growth

Parent participation ensures that the skills children develop in therapy are reinforced and strengthened in daily life.

Fees & Insurance

Sessions are billed per session hour.

  • I currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS).

  • For families with other providers, I can provide an itemized bill (superbill) for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

  • Private pay is also available.
